This has got to be one of the goriest movies ever made. But it is one of the best H.P. Lovecraft short stories made movie, so it gets cudos just for using his work. THe main plot concerns a med school student who meets a man by the Name o Herbert West. Soon Herbert moves in with him and they become unwitting partners in the business of re-animating dead corpses. Then there is also another doctor who wants to steal West's re-animating syrum. This movie also has a lot of irony a humo in it which help it movie along. All in all it is a one of the best gore flicks out there. I would recommend this movie to anyone with a strong stomach. Return to reviews page
